Much of our progress to date has been accomplished through association with researchers and ecologically minded volunteers who offer their experience, personal energy, and problem-solving creativity in participating directly with us in this very interesting and enjoyable work.
You never know who you will be working next to! Past participants include undergraduates and graduates from Bowling Green State University's Marine Biology Program, and doctoral students from University of Miami's Ichthyology Dept. Whoever you meet, all are enthusiastic about the project, and many have returned several times to assist. TSA has helped steer the careers of many, young and old alike! Some have reported crucial value in helping them obtain valuable real-world experience as they pursue their career and life goals. Lodging and offshore boat diving for less than $70.00 per day! One of our future ventures is to offer harvest-your-own live rock from our site. Working with Florida Dept of Environmental Protection (DEP) we are laying the groundwork to institute a 50/50 plan. On a 2-tank dive, one tank is used to harvest 2 buckets of rock…one for the individual to keep for their marine aquarium, and the other to seed an area suggested by DEP. Watch our site for updates!
